Animal friend does the incredible to save severely malnourished husky

Animal heroes live amongst us like angels walking the earth. They care for vulnerable animals who can’t fend for themselves. They feed and nurture them and give them tender love and care.

Rico Soegiarto is one such hero.

In June 2017, Rico from Indonesia discovered a severely malnourished and weak husky on the road. But he didn’t do what most might do, and continue on his way.

He stopped.

“I’ll do my best to rescue you, poor baby,” wrote Rico after discovering the homeless dog.

Rico went straight to work. The dog was in a dire state and needed much treatment and care.

Its fur was falling out and full of sores. Above all, the dog was painfully skinny — so skinny in fact she could hardly stand up straight.

Rico decided to give the dog the appropriate name “Hope” and went straight to work.

He began by washing Hope thoroughly, then brought her straight to the vet’s for treatment.

He made sure she was well fed and groomed, right from the beginning.

“She loves getting petted and eats plenty of cookies!” Rico told Bored Panda.

Rico’s efforts were beginning to have an impact — Hope’s condition was quickly improving, so quickly in fact that see what she looks like 10 months later…:

“Do you still remember? Dog that i found 10 months ago. Swipe left to see the changes,” Rico wrote in a Facebook post showcasing Hope’s amazing transformation.
