Kaley Cuoco shares touching tribute to her late horse Bella: “the horse of a lifetime”

No matter who you are, there’s nothing worse than experiencing the loss of a beloved pet. Even the biggest celebrities still grieve for their animals.

Now, one famous and animal rights activists is mourning the loss of her beloved horse, sharing a heartwarming tribute on social media.

Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco announced on Instagram on September 16 that one of her horses, Bella, had died. She shared some beautiful photos of the late horse and wrote a touching tribute.

“Sometimes horses come into your life and truly make you see the world in a new and beautiful way. Si Bella , you were the horse of a lifetime,” Cuoco wrote.

“Still to this day I cannot believe you were mine. You taught me how to fly and put me in dream arenas I thought could only ever be a dream. You had the heart of a warrior truly till your last breath. You deserve all the love, gratitude, and respect my heart can muster.”

While Cuoco is best known for playing Penny on the hit, long-running sitcom The Big Bang Theory and her Emmy-nominated work on The Flight Attendant, off-screen she is known for her love for animals, especially horses.

“I had a passion for horses, dogs, cats and just about anything with fur or feathers, but especially horses,” she told Equestrian Life. “I’m an equestrian in every sense of the word… I just love horses and being with them.”

“I rode when I was a little girl, but I think I started taking it seriously when I was about 16 and I have been passionate about the whole equestrian world ever since.”

Cuoco is married to equestrian Karl Cook, and the two care for a number of horses. Cuoco has kept up her passion for horseback riding even as she’s become a star in Hollywood.

“I have six horses, and they have been the biggest blessing in my life,” she said in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel. “Horseback riding is why I’m so centered, especially in this business. I wouldn’t have my career without it.”

While she has a special love for horses, Cuoco is an advocate for animals of all kinds. She has used her fame as an actress to advocate for animal rights, speaking out against pet abandonment, Canadian seal hunting and horse abuse. She is a member of the Humane Society of the United States and promoted the dog rescue Paw Works.

She also owns many pets of her own, including several dogs and horses. “I’m not allowed to say how many I have, because I am afraid they will come knocking, saying that it’s an illegal amount,” she joked to Variety in 2021.

Sadly, Cuoco has said goodbye to two of her beloved pets this year. In addition to Bella, Cuoco lost her rescue dog Dump Truck back in May. Dump Truck had a traumatic past before the actress took him in in 2020, a foster situation that turned permanent. In her tribute, Cuoco praised her dog for getting her through “some of the hardest moments I’ve had in my life.”

It’s clear that animals, especially horses, are such an important part of Kaley Cuoco’s life, and our hearts are with her as she mourns her beloved horse ❤️
