Man sings a ‘Lion King’ song for his pets — but never expected his donkey would join in for a duet

We all have our own funny way of bonding with our pets. Some people like to play music or sing to their animal friends.

And sometimes, to our surprise, the pets sing along with us. That was the case for one man, whose duet with his pet donkey was captured in a hilarious viral video.

Travis Kinley, from Sumter, South Carolina, adopted a pet donkey named Nathan.  “He was causing some trouble at someone else’s house and I just picked him up for $100 bucks, he seemed alright with me,” he told WKYC.

Nathan lives on the property with Travis’ horses. But one day last summer, Travis decided to have some fun with his animals.

He went outside and started singing “The Circle of Life” from The Lion King.

It was just a funny video he made for some friends… but little did he know his pets were eager to join in.

In the middle of the song, Nathan began braying, as if to sing along with the Disney tune. It was something Travis never expected.

“I’m kind of blown away because we never do this together; we never sing together,” he said. “He keeps going, so I keep going, and all of a sudden I just kind of break down laughing at the end.”

The video quickly went viral, and currently has over 6 million views on Facebook.

In other words this donkey has more views than most professional singers.

“You can always tell he’s a thinking animal,” Travis told WKYC. “He’s just playful, that’s just in his nature.”
