Dog who lost her owner to coronavirus finds forever home: ‘Have a beautiful life Che-Che!’

In mid-April Che-Che made national headlines when the 9-year-old poodle was left homeless after her owner died from coronavirus. The adorable pooch was turned over to the Monmouth County SPCA in New Jersey and the shelter put out a call to the public.

Find Che-Che a forever home.

On April 27, the shelter shared an exciting update. After receiving hundreds of applications, Che-Che found her forever home!

And she received a goodbye fit for a princess.

During the coronavirus pandemic, many animal shelters across the United States have seen an increase in the number of people wanting to foster or adopt pets.

And while many shelters have announced what once seemed like an impossible goal, an empty shelter, there are still animals looking for forever homes or a place to stay.

The Monmouth County SPCA, along with shelters around the country, encourage those who are interested in giving a home to a furry friend to continue checking local shelters and rescues.

You never know when you’ll find you your perfect match.

“I feel incredibly blessed that Che-Che will be coming home with me. She’s a little doll and everyone here has been very generous and kind to her and to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!” Che-Che’s new owner said.

This makes me so happy. I’m glad Che-Che was able to find a new home and I hope her story inspires others to give a home to another animal in need.
