No matter how many times you tell a cat “no,” they never seem to understand.
Well, let me restate that. They understand alright. It’s just that the next time they do whatever you told them to stop, they look at you in defiance.
Cats. You gotta love ’em, though.
When Tina Hoang moved into her apartment she discovered a four-month-old kitten. She didn’t have it in her heart to let him continue wandering around outside, so she decided to adopt him.
The kitty, Masuka, now a seven-year-old cat, always keeps Tina on her feet. He’s an attention-seeker who is “full of personality” and loves water.
If there’s water nearby, Masuka will find a way to enjoy it. He’s been known to lounge in the sink, enjoy a drink from the water cooler, and play in the shower.
“Every time I’m in the shower, as soon as he hears the water running, he comes running in,” Tina told The Dodo.
Masuka is so excited when he hears water that he completely forgets the fact that he can simply poke his head around the shower curtain and instead claws through the curtain like a maniac.
The end result is generally a perfect Masuka-sized hole. It’s just enough so that he can poke his head through and lap at the falling water.
Usually Tina just watched Masuka, but one day she came up with a brilliant idea. What if she made a little art project out of her destroyed shower curtain.
So, she took a marker and drew around the hole Masuka created.
“Every time I see him in the shower he just cracks me up,” Tina said. “I figured I might as well have some fun with it. Can’t get mad at that face!”
Will Masuka continue to claw through Tina’s shower curtains? Most likely. Although, Tina reportedly purchased a more durable curtain, but with cats anything is possible!
Does your cat claw through your shower curtain?
If they do I think this is a great way to “cover up” the ripped curtain!
