Puppies abandoned on dirt road ask for help

Every day, we witness it, and it’s heart-wrenching.

People abandon dogs seemingly without remorse, and there appears to be no end in sight.

Fortunately, individuals like Josiane Lúcia De Almeida da Silva shine through the darkness.

Last year, animal rescuer Josiane was called to a very remote location in Brazil. Just outside a city, near an illegal trash dumping site, three small puppy dogs were found in desperate need of help.

Presumably, these poor puppies had been driven to the filthy location and dumped there by someone.

As Josiane walked along the dirt road, she wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but suddenly, three small dogs emerged from the ditch. They looked a bit scared at first, but at the same time, they knew they needed help. Eventually, they gathered their courage and approached Josiane.

Soon, the little lives realized that Josiane had good intentions, and they trusted her. But Josiane wasn’t just there to comfort the puppies and give them love – she was literally going to change their lives.

The dogs weren’t in the best condition, and Josiane decided to take them to her home.

”She took care of them at her house” Clarissa Castro Braga, a veterinarian friend of Josiane’s, told The Dodo.

”They received important vaccines and deworming, and she fed them food with adequate nutrition.”

Why someone would be so cruel as to dump them out in the middle of nowhere is hard to understand. But the most important thing is that someone decided to rescue them, and that angel was Josiane.

Of course, there was nothing wrong with the dogs – they were lively, playful, and ready to give people all the love in the world.

As the puppies grew a little older and stronger, Josiane and veterinarian Clarissa decided it was time for the dogs to find their own families. They organized an event at Clarissa’s clinic, and thankfully, all three dogs were adopted. What a wonderful ending!

So let’s say it again. If you’re not ready to take responsibility for your dog, don’t get one in the first place. Animals aren’t toys that we can throw away when we get tired of them!
