Corgi has the time of her life shopping at Target, goes viral with funny pics

For some people nothing brightens a day like a little retail therapy. Sometimes a shopping trip is all you need to put a big smile on your face.

But it turns out, it’s not just people—our pets can find it just as exciting. Shopaholics, prepare to meet your spirit animal.

A woman named Jesse is the owner of an adorable Corgi-Aussie mix named Zira.

Clearly, Zira has a big enthusiasm for life, so Jesse thought it’d be a fun adventure for the dog to take her to Target.

The first time she took her to the store, Zira fell asleep… but on a second trip when she was four months old, the dog not only stayed awake… she had the absolute time of her life!

Zira stood up in her cart and excitedly looked around the store. Jesse caught precious photos of the dog living her best life.

“She reminded us so much of Rose from Titanic, the way she leaned against the front of the cart, looking out into the world of Target for the first time!” Jesse told Bored Panda. “We could tell she loved it so much.”

The trip turned Zira into an online star: the adorable photos went viral when her owner posted them on Twitter. Jesse’s post has gotten over half a million likes and has been retweeted over 128,000 times.

And it wasn’t just people online falling in love with Zira. Jesse says people in the store couldn’t resist the excited little dog.

“While we were turning a corner, this woman shopping saw her and freaked out,” Jesse said. “She couldn’t stop going on and on about how cute Zira was. Zira just started licking her, and the woman loved it. She even picked Zira up and let her kiss her face!”

It’s also worth noting that Zira, with her white coat and a spot around her eye, she looks a bit like Bullseye the Target mascot, so she may have been in her element.

Other people responded with their own photos of their dog visiting Target:

While Zira’s shopping trip was undoubtably adorable, not all the responses were positive. Some people pointed out that Target does not, in fact, allow dogs who aren’t service dogs.

Jesse acknowledged this error, but still wanted to give Zira a shopping experience after she so enjoyed the Target trip.

Luckily, she found a place: PetSmart allows all animals to shop freely. And it looks like Zira enjoyed herself just as much:

We’re glad to see this dog living life to the fullest! Share this adorable story!
