Dog rescued from meat farm finds new home with Hollywood actor

It’s thought a staggering 1 million dogs are killed for meat every year, while thousands of dogs are held in cages on meat farms living in horrendous conditions.

One dog Juliette was rescued from a dog meat farm in South Korea. She had been chained to a metal post on a short chain, surrounded by trash.

Humane Society International (HSI) rescued her and posted a video of her in the hope of finding her a new home, little did staff know whose attention she would grab.

Korean-American actor Daniel Henney saw the video of Juliette posted by HSI Global and fell in love.

“I saw the videos of her on Instagram and as you can see from all the comments, our hearts just dropped.

“It was a no brainer, I saw her and I just thought ‘that’s my girl, that’s her.'”

He described their first meeting as “love at first sight” adding that considering what this poor dog had endured she was “so stoic, so gentle, and so open to meeting new people and not be defensive.”

The “Criminal Minds” actor has another dog Roscoe who says is so much more full of life since Juliette joined them and the two have become inseparable.

Wanna introduce you all to my beautiful new girl, Juliette. She’s had an amazing journey and now finally found her…

He said as happy as he is to have found Juliette there are still thousands of dogs living in cages on dog meat farms. He has added his weight behind HSI Global’s campaign to help end this suffering.

“It’s not easy to do…it’s a cultural issue…I think the most important thing about this is understanding and not demonizing and trying to work together collectively to find a solution.

“I consider myself very lucky to have her, she is an angel.”

This dog is so adorable, to think what could have become of her is just unbearable.

Let’s thank HSI Global and Daniel Henney for saving this precious pooch and helping her find the best new home by sharing this article.
