As the uncomfortably high temperatures continue in many parts of the world, we are often reminded of the danger it poses to us humans.
But what about all the homeless animals living on the street that struggle to find water and shade from the oppressive sun?
One store decided they couldn’t ignore the suffering of one dog and not only gave him much-needed water but invited him in to cool off.
As temperatures reached 104 degrees in Mexico, Adolfo Pazzi Ahumada was getting ready to brave the heat and buy a bottle of milk.
Outside the store he found a stray dog getting much-needed food and water.
As he wandered up and down the aisles checking for anything else he might need he found the dog lying on the floor.
Not only had store workers fed and watered the dog but also allowed him to come inside and cool off.
He was clearly exhausted from the heat and Adolfo asked the store clerk about his situation.
Clerk paid for treats with own money
“He has been here the past [few] days. We suspect he was left behind by his owner. He came to us for help,” the clerk told Adolfo, according to The Dodo.
“We could only provide him with food, water and some toys from the store that we paid for with our money.”
The clerk said she hoped someone would offer to adopt the stray dog. Adolfo wasn’t in a position to take him in but was able to buy a treat for the dog to enjoy after his nap.
Let’s hope this gorgeous, sweet dog finds a loving family soon.
