Woman shows kindness to hungry stray cat — so she trusts her with her litter of kittens

There are some kind people in the world who won’t hesitate to help an animal in need. But one woman got more than she bargained for when she helped a stray cat… and realized she wasn’t alone.

Lisianne, a woman from Montreal, Canada, found a stray cat outside her home this summer. Seeing the cat scrounging for food, she decided to leave food and water.

While the cat was shy around people, she slowly began to trust the woman and started coming back every day for her meal.

“The kitty immediately understood that a person was interested in her,” writes Chatons Orphelins Montréal. “Finally a person helped her survive every day.”

After a few weeks, the cat apparently trusted Lisianne to reveal a big surprise: her whole family!

The cat showed up at her backyard door with six adorable kittens by her side. It was immediately clear that the cat had given birth, and trusted Lisianne to take care of her kittens.

She put her trust in the right person, because Lisianne quickly took the cats into her home. And this time, she didn’t just provide food and water… she set out to give them all a forever home.

Lisianne decided to adopt the mama cat herself, and one of the kittens—the one tabby cat—was adopted by a friend of hers.

That left the five black kittens looking for their forever home, so she reached out to rescue group Chatons Orphelins Montréal for help.

“The five are all gorgeous long-haired black cats — three girls (Taylor, Tynie and Tyana) and two boys (Tales and Tito),” Celine Crom of Chatons Orphelins Montréal told Love Meow.

“They were a bit shy at first but once they arrived at their foster home, they quickly came out of their shells.”

The cats were all spayed and neutered and received their vaccinations. Tito was born with a deformity in his leg and will require surgery in the future, but he is getting all the care he needs.

And two of the sister cats, Tynie and Tyana, have formed an inseparable bond and need to be adopted as a pair.

According to a Facebook post by the rescue, the five kittens are still available for adoption after three months, but hopefully these beautiful kittens find their forever homes soon.

“Taylor, Tynie, Tyana and Tales are looking for a family for life,” Chatons Orphelins Montréal wrote. “The babies are kind, gentle and nature reserved. They love having fun and they love having attention.”

They list more information about each kitten in their post. If you are interested in adopting, you can reach out to Chatons Orphelins Montréal.

We hope these gorgeous black kittens get adopted soon! Thank you to Lisianne for helping this family—this cat definitely picked the right person to trust with her kittens.

Let’s help spread the word and get these kittens adopted, share this great story!
