Men go out fishing, but end up reeling in stray kittens

When you go out on a fishing trip, you never know what you’ll find out on the water. Sometimes you reel in something you’d never expect.

Like one group of fishermen, who ended up with the cutest catch ever when they reeled in two animals in need of help.

Two men named Jason Frost and Brandon Key were fishing out on the Black Warrior River in Alabama when they spotted something in the water… something that was definitely not a fish.

“Y’all are not gonna believe what is swimming towards our boat,” Jason said. “A kitten.”

The kitten swam close enough that Jason was able to scoop it out of the water.

Thanks to them, the poor cat was finally safe… but it turns out, that was just the beginning.

Brandon then alerted Jason that there was another kitten in the water. Apparently spotting his friend in the boat, the second kitten was swimming towards them.

The men took the boat towards the cat and scooped it up.

Seeing the two kittens out in the water, the men speculated that they may have been abandoned in the river by someone.

“Some jackass probably put them out here,” Jason says.

Luckily, it didn’t take long before they were in better hands: “A family at the boat dock heard their story and adopted them on the spot,” Jason wrote in a YouTube comment. “They’re in a great home.”

In other words, this was definitely the best “catch of the day.”

“This puts a new spin on the term catfishing,” Jason joked.

Thank goodness these men were in the right place at the right time and were able to rescue these poor kittens! So glad they’re in a new home!
